The pleasure and the Art of looking

Painting a landscape or drawing a portrait is all about looking ....looking for details and the harmonies, looking for a meaningful curve line.....and an endless discovery of new things every time you look at the model. It is about being absorbed and sometime consumed by what your eyes sees or are looking for.

It is also about the frustrating moment when you pencil or your brush cannot do it and the endless re-doing until the paper begs you to stop!

It is an evasion from daily routines into another world peaceful and emotional, rewarding and enervating.....a true moment of pleasure.
